Pause for a moment and send some fervent prayers for the souls of those who
perished on this black day in history.........
and for those who responded. Their horror will no doubt be with them for eternity.
Now, pray again.....a prayer of thanks that this is still the flag that is flying over this great country of ours.
Let us set aside the ugliness of this political season and remember what brings us together, not what divides us.
God Bless America
Such a thoughtful post. We will never forget the horror of that day and the days to follow but you are right, we are most fortunate to live in such a great country.

I agree, Linda, that the vitriol and dishonor of these politically charged times should be tempered on this day, and from this day forward. If we were to always keep in mind that this horrible day in our nation's history stands to be repeated if we don't get our heads out of the sand with all the in-fighting and pay attention to who the REAL enemies are, then a lot of this tit for tat mess that does nothing but pull our country down might come to an end. Do we forget until days like this that we are "One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all?" Those are just hollow words if we don't learn from this tragedy.
