It's been quite a while since I've posted anything, since I've been up north visiting friends and family. The night before I left, I set this table up outside on the white deck for a quiet dinner with Mr. Pressed Pants.
It was inspired by this fabric I found that I intended to make into napkins. Then I decided to take an even easier way out and used it for a runner over a white caterer's linen cloth.
I already had all of these dishes and the placemat. They've all been used in several posts in the past.
When I found these orange Gerbera daisies at Whole Foods, I knew how I would do this table.
The tablecloth photographed blue, but it was bright white. The napkin is a bright turquoise with a turquoise acrylic napkin ring. I used our everyday flatware from Williams Sonoma.
The daisies went into a turquoise McCoy vase and I added this white French butter dish and this salt and pepper dish from Pierre Deux. (I miss that store.) Then I chose an orange acrylic water glass and a clear Reidel stemless wine glass.
Here's the coffee pot, cream and sugar sitting on the railing.
Here's the way it came together.
This was a lot of color......
but I loved the slight "specialness" it gave to our last evening together for two weeks.
Beautiful Linda! I love the pop of orange from the Gerberas paired with your turquoise vase! I hope you're surviving the heat :)
