Why?????
Note: This is a total Opinion Editorial!
(Should you care!)
While running through my local Kroger the other day, I was stopped in my tracks by this display of orange spray painted poinsettias.
I even asked the floral employee to be certain, and she said they were spray painted.
Here's my thought:
I'm guessing that the store is giving you another option for fall color, but why would you bother defacing this beautiful plant when there are sooooo many beautiful plants and flowers that will give you this color during the fall season? You can buy a mum in almost every store during the entire autumn season and they come in a beautiful array of colors.
To recap:
Mums: Fall
Poinsettias: Winter
I'm just sayin' !
And then at Christmas they are offered in pinks, blues, and purples....Soooooo ugly!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid that for me this falls into the category of turquoise, glitter sprinkled carnations. Sad.

Linda, good for you! Sad to think of what retail does sometimes. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving..........no poinsettias in this house for Thanksgiving.
.....just saying........Sarah
I just walked in from Kroger & saw the same thing. I stopped in my tracks too and looked closely at these orange poinsettias spruced up with glitter. Full and gorgeous plants altered with paint & glitter is not very Thanksgiving friendly.
