Yes, I know I am blessed to live where we see nature all around us. But, sometimes, nature gets too close and acts like it pays the mortgage!
Apparently, hosta is like crack cocaine to deer!
I have been using a deer repellant on all of our tender plants that tempt the little darlings. The label says that after three applications, you will have trained the deer to stay away. No so!!!!!
I've done four applications and thought I would just keep an eye on things.
Well, overnight, there seemed to be quite a feast at the front fountain! Don't you hate it when that happens?????
That is so weird cause we live in the woods and just today a friend was saing the deer eat her hosta too. They ahve left mine alone all these years!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know why. They have, however, eaten almost every single tulip!!!! DANG deer! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteI don't have deer, but the squirrels around here are definitely pests. ~ sarah
ReplyDeleteMales urinating around hostas seems to do the trick in GA
ReplyDeleteWe have tons of deer.. we call it Pasta! not Hosta. I moved it from the front yard to the back with the dogs. The deer are not going to mess with my 2 shepherds. They can eat my neighbors plants! I had plants that one day would look great and the next I would be looking for where the whole plant went! Loved your post ! Jules ♥
